My name is Joshua Matthew Lee, and I study HSPS at Cambridge. I am passionate about political campaigning, project delivery, and event management. I enjoy turning qualitative research into clear insights and persuasive presentations. I have full rights to work in the UK and EU, and I am looking for a role in policy, consulting, or governance. Outside of my studies, I also work as a freelance model, which shows my versatility beyond academics.
I have been a County Council Candidate for the Liberal Democrats and managed social events for Cambridge University's Liberal Association, focusing on cost savings and listening to member feedback. I have also worked at Marks & Spencer, where I provided excellent customer service. As a Disability Play and Youth Worker, I made sure disabled children were safe and well cared for. I completed a summer internship at OakNorth Bank, where I researched regulatory acts, and I volunteered as a Mental Health and Disabilities Officer for the Robinson College Student Association.
I also tutor GCSE and A-level students in several subjects. I use my academic background and people skills to give each student personalized support, helping them prepare for exams. My approach is tailored to each student, aiming to build their confidence and skills.
As a hobby, I enjoy landscape photography, capturing the beauty of natural environments and exploring creative compositions that reflect both technical skill and artistic vision. This pursuit not only relaxes me but also enhances my observational abilities, contributing to my overall perspective on visual storytelling.
